Educational Technology
Psychology-specific software, hardware and experiment design as they shape what students can actually learn and measure.
Overview
Question and approach.
Core question
How does the technology used to run and teach studies shape what students learn about method?
Approach
Grounded in day-to-day practice: experiment creation, statistics support, and technical support for psychology-specific software and hardware across undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
Focus
Tooling is not neutral. What a package makes easy tends to become the default design, and what it makes awkward tends to disappear from student projects.
The interest is in choosing and supporting technology so that the method stays visible to the student rather than being hidden inside a wizard.
Evidence — Grounded in the Professional Services role described on the University of Bradford staff profile.
